Super City Quilt City Connection Quilt Show
A Celebration of the Arts between Two Cities, is September 12-13, 2014
Metropolis, IL & Paducah, KY - Metropolis Tourism and the National Quilt Museum are proud to combine forces for the fifth year of Super City – Quilt City Connection, A Celebration of the Arts between Two Cities, September 12-13, 2014. An assortment of exhibits and activities will be held in both cities.
The Massac Quilters Guild Quilt show combines quilting instruction, classes and demonstrations for an event of super measure at the Harrah’s Riverfront Event Center in Metropolis, while exhibits, demonstrations and lectures by known experts will be featured at The National Quilt Museum. Many of the activities are either free or low cost.
The Massac Quilters Guild Quilt Show will feature a Super Block Challenge and exhibitors demonstrating needlework, basket making and more. The block challenge is open to all quilters. The 'Fat Quarter Frenzy!' is back this year. Bring one Fat Quarter for a chance to win all of them!

Metropolis, Illinois, is the real-life small town that has the same name as the fictional big city made famous around the world in Superman comic books. The city’s bronze Superman and Lois Lane statues are visited by thousands of people each month. Both Metropolis and Paducah share the beautiful Ohio River as it defines city borders but unites regional activities.
Designated as The National Quilt Museum of the United States, NQM is a non-profit institution located at 215 Jefferson Street in downtown Paducah, Ky. The Museum is open year-round Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Museum is also open on Sundays 1-5 p.m. April - October. The National Quilt Museum is ADA compliant.
