Thank you for your interest in judging our KCBS Contest.  If you decide you want to judge, fill out and return the next page, and we will consider that your confirmation. 

Our contest is two days, with the "anything but" categories on Friday evening, October 8.  Saturday, October 9, it's all about the BBQ!  Both days we'll have live bands playing on stage, vendors selling their wares, and a beer garden for those who are interested.  Metropolis is the home of Superman, with a huge statue and museum in his honor, and Harrah's Casino is located one block from the BBQ contest site.  At the edge of town is Fort Massac State Park, the oldest State Park in Illinois. There's a lot to do, here!

Directions from I-24

Take exit 37, head west toward Metropolis.  You are on US-45.  Stay on highway until you come to Ferry Street.  Turn left, go one block, and you will be in BBQ'ville!

Lodging Info

The Elk's Lodge, located at 104 W. 4^th Street (around the corner from the contest), will be the judge's headquarters.  Be sure and stop in when you arrive to let us know you've made it, and to collect your City of Metropolis goodies! We'll see you at the Super City Blues & Ques!
