Admission for adults, Children under 5 are free. May 1: Antique Automobile Club of America Central Division Spring Meet and Car Show at Fort Massac State Park. Hundreds of antique vehicles to be on display. Free to spectators. May 1: Southern Illinois Spinners and Weavers Guild demonstrates crafts in visitor center at Fort Massac State Park, 10am-4pm. Free. May 1: Living History, presented by the 17th Illinois Territorial Rangers, 1811-1814 re-enactors, at Fort Massac State Park, 10am-4pm. Free. May 15: Little Black Dress Event - Benefit for American Cancer Society. Enjoy live music, appetizers, and wine from Blue Sky Winery from 8pm-midnight at Harrah's Riverfront Event Center. May 15-16: Seven-Years War Event,10am-4pm at Fort Massac State Park. The Massiac Marines will host a weekend for French and Indian War period living historians from all over the nation to converge on Fort Massac to begin the campaign season. As in the 1750s, these modern day warriors wait until the wether is right to begin battling. Each day you will see how the people lived and died (mock battles and tactical operations) during the real First World War. Free. May 21: Prize Fight Boxing. Live music, food, crafts and more at winery just north of Metropolis. Book a room in Metropolis and stay for the weekend. Noon-8pm.
