June 5:  Southern Illinois Spinners and Weavers Guild demonstrates crafts at visitor center in Fort Massac State Park, 10am-3:30pm.  Free.

 June 10:  Superman Road Race.  Runners of all ages gather at Fort Massac State Park to race "faster than a speeding bullet."  For more information, call 618-524-3273.  Entry fee.

June 12:  SuperTrek Bike Ride.  Bike riders young and old start the ride at Fort Massac and can choose one of several routes.  Rest stops await riders in various locations.  For more information, call 800-949-5740.  Entry fee.

June 12:  Garrison for the Massiac Marines, 10am-4pm at Fort Massac State Park.  The French and Indian War period living historians will  present displays, interpretive programs and play with games of the French, American and American Indians from the 18th century. Free.

June 13:  Metropolis Rotary Club Super Car Show. Cars and trucks are polished to perfection and fill Fort Massac State Park for this popular show.  The Man of Steel even awards a prize for his favorite entry.  Spectators admitted free.  Fee for entries.  For more information, call 800-949-5740.

June 19:  Ohio River Sweep at Fort Massac State Park from 8:30am-12 noon.  Free t-shirts and pizza are provided to volunteers who help clean up the banks of the Ohio River.
